Shirley A. Lanter 78 of Decatur, IL formerly of Maroa, IL passed away 6:30 AM April 21, 2016 at Fair Haven Christian Home, Decatur, Il.

A private family burial will be held at a later date. Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, Illinois assisted the family with cremation rites.

Shirley was born August 19, 1937 on the family farm in Texas Township, IL the daughter of Roy and Christina (Smith) Lanter.

Survivors include her children: Randy (Debbie) Lanter, Champaign, IL; George (Karryn) Calfas, East Peoria, IL; Rex (Lorie) Calfas, Waynesville, IL; special cousin: Bev Brewner, Decatur, IL; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 1 sister.

Shirley was a beautician for many years in Decatur, IL.
