Steven Lee Martin, 54, of Springfield, IL, passed away at 7:15 AM, April 9, 2016 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Services will be 2 PM, Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Pat Meeter officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.

Steven was born March 8, 1962 in Clinton, IL the son of Ronald and Katherine (Schaible) Martin.

Survivors include his parents, Ronald and Katherine Martin, Clinton, IL; sisters, Debra Martin, Clinton, IL and Janice (Richard) Rethorst, Benton, IL; nieces:  Christina Fenton, Weldon, IL; Sheryl Landers, Atwood, Il; Andrea Landers, Weldon, Il; Beth Anne Mitchell, Normal, IL; and Heather Mitchell, Normal, IL; nephew, Anthony Mitchell, Benton, IL; eight great-nieces and four great-nephews; uncles, Henry Martin, Clinton, IL and Charles Martin, Sr., Mapleton, IL; and his beloved cat, O’Talli.

Steven was a 1980 graduate of Clinton Community High School and a 1992 graduate of Illinois State University.  He worked as a computer programmer at the Illinois Department of Revenue until his retirement.  Steven was an Amateur Radio Operator, KA9HFS, and an avid golf player.
