Rebecca L. “Becky” Mears, 66, of Clinton, IL formerly of Kenney, IL passed away at 7:56 PM, March 3, 2016 at Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital, Corpus Christi, TX.

A celebration of Becky’s life will be 7 PM, Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Kenney Christian Church with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating.  Visitation will be 6 – 7 PM Thursday at the church.  Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Becky Mears Memorial Fund.

Becky was born June 14, 1949 in Lincoln, IL the daughter of Carl and Vivian (Hunt) Hamblen.  She married Clarence Reed Mears.

Survivors include her daughter, Tonya Allen, Kenney, IL; son, Jarod Mears, Clinton, IL; 2 granddaughters:  Brenna Allen, Kenney, IL and Mersades Wheeler, Wapella, IL; grandson, Callen Mears, Wapella, IL; and 1 brother, Darrel Hamblen, Wapella, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother.

Becky worked for State Farm Insurance for 42 years.  She enjoyed traveling and horses.  She especially loved spending time with her family and her church – the Kenney Christian Church.
