Braelyn Nickole Jean Lemmel, 16 months old, of Clinton, IL passed away at 11:50 P.M. February 21, 2016 at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, Chicago, IL peacefully in her mother’s arms.

A celebration of Braelyn’s life will be 3 P.M. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Weldon United Methodist Church, Weldon, IL with Rev. C. Don Ferrill officiating. Visitation will be from 1 – 3 P.M. Saturday at the church. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to John and Sherry Lemmel in care of Braelyn Lemmel Memorial Fund which will be given to the Alper’s Research Fund and to the Ronald McDonald House, Chicago, IL in honor of Braelyn.

Braelyn was born September 28, 2014 in Peoria, IL the daughter of Amanda Brooke Curry and John Micheal Lemmel.

Survivors include her mother: Amanda Brooke Curry, Clinton, IL; father: John Micheal Lemmel, LeRoy, IL; maternal grandparents: Paul & Allison Curry, Wapella, IL, Nickolette (Jimmy) Dukich, Arrowsmith, IL; paternal grandparents: John C. & Sherry Lemmel, LeRoy, IL; maternal great grandparents: Jon Wall, TX, Lynda Harmon, Farmer City, IL, Bruce Iehl, Chicago, IL, Glenda Reinitz, Colfax, IL, Gary (Phyllis) Curry, Tulsa, OK; paternal great grandparents: James & Sarah Fox, LeRoy, IL. Along with many aunts, uncles and cousins and her dog and best friend Hershey.

She was preceded in death by her paternal great grandfather: John L. Lemmel; paternal great grandparents: Alvy & Donna Underwood and maternal great grandparents: James Reinitz and Kathleen B. Wall.
