Shirley Dolores Dodd 74 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 4:07 PM February 21, 2016 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Pastor John Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at DeWitt Cemetery, DeWitt, Illinois. Visitation will be 10 – 11 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Donor’s Choice.

Shirley was born November 7, 1941 in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Chester Michael and Juanita Marie (Daley) Palmer. She married Thomas E. Dodd September 14, 1962 in Clinton, IL.

Survivors include her husband: Thomas E. Dodd, Clinton, IL; children: Richard D. (Darlene) Dodd, Moyock, NC, Ernest E. (Patricia) Dodd, Clinton, IL, Anita (John) LaFond, Cheyenne, WY, Bonnie J. (Dale) Allen, Clinton, IL, Allena (Scott) Malone, Clinton, IL; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; siblings: Edward “Sonny” (Bev) Palmer, Clinton, IL, Andrew Heath, RI, Gordon Heath, KY, Roberta McKimmy, FL, Richard Heath, FL, Dale Eugene Heath, FL, Elizabeth (Wayne) VanDuyne, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 grandson: Caleb Helfrich.

Shirley was an LPN for years at Crestview, John Warner Hospital, DeWitt County Nursing Home, LeRoy Manor, and Jackson Heights. She enjoyed fishing.
