Marilyn Eileen Cooper 79 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 9:12 AM February 16, 2016 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, Il.

Services will be 1 PM, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Il. with J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Long Point Cemetery, Wapella, Il. Visitation will be Noon – 1 PM at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Il.

Memorials may be directed to the Arthritis Foundation.

Marilyn was born May 4, 1936 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Berl and Irene (Wendling) Austin. She married William “Willie” Cooper November 9, 1956 in Clinton, Il. He passed away December 2, 2015.

Survivors include her children, Scott A. (Kim) Cooper, Clinton, Il., Neil W. (Teresa A.) Cooper, Clinton, Il., 3 Grandchildren, Tim W. Cooper, Dylan L. Cooper and Alexandria (James) McPeek all of Clinton, Il.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Charles H. Cooper.

Marilyn was a member of the First Christian Church, Clinton, Il. She worked at Eisner’s Grocery Store and retired from the First National Bank, Clinton, Il. after 25 years of service.  Marilyn enjoyed tracking the weather, gardening and talking with people.  She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
