Frederick Albright

Frederick R. “Fred” Albright, 76, of Clinton, formerly of Bloomington, went to his forever home at 7 p.m. Monday (Feb. 8, 2016) at his residence.

 

A memorial service for Fred will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. The Rev. Cory Boerm will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the memorial home. Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.

 

Fred was born Oct. 9, 1939, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Herman George and Mary Francis Kinder Albright. They preceded him in death. He also is preceded in death by two brothers, Herman and Randall, and one sister, Betty.

 

He married Nancy Branson on Sept. 2, 1964, in Bedford, Ky. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Lori Albright, Bloomington; Terry (Ron) Hornsby, El Paso; Scott (Melissa) Albright, Geneva; and Fred (Jennifer) Albright Jr., Bloomington; 10 grandchildren, Justin, Taylor, Olivia, Isaac, Kailey, Alyssa, Jaiden, Anthony, Connor and Matthew; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Liam; one sister, Jenny (Alan) Knoebel, Indianapolis; and one sister-in-law, Barb Albright, Indianapolis.

 

Fred worked as a self-employed contractor for more than 35 years in the Bloomington-Normal area. He made friends, with his customers who referred to him as “Freddie Fix-it,” and they knew he was only a phone call away. He was an avid Notre Dame sports fan and a lover of his pets and classic cars.
