Raymond Wells Jr., 72, of Monticello, passed away at 8:30 PM, Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at his residence with his family by his side. Visitation will be Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Funeral service will be Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Cross Road Church in Monticello, Illinois at 10:00 AM with Pastor Mike Heiniger and Pastor Jack Greenwood Officiating. Interment will be at the Monticello Township Cemetery. Raymond was born May 9, 1942 in Martinsville, Illinois the son of Raymond and Opal Irene (Harris) Wells. He married Suzanne (Jennings) Wells March 22, 1986 in Joliet, Illinois. Surviving is his wife Suzanne, children Tammy (Mark) Evans of Cowden, IL; Donna (James) VanMatre of LaPlace, IL; Crystal Wells of Mt. Zion, IL; Raymond (Lisa) Wells of Goshen, OH; Bonnie (Perry) Eveland of Ocean Springs, MS; Matthew Wells of Monticello, IL; Emily wells of Monticello, IL; and Sarah Wells of Monticello, IL; 16 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Brothers Larry Wells, Robert Wells, David Wells, Paul Wells, and Jim Wells. Sisters Darlene Townsley, Barbara Whisnant, Sharon Green. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters Karen Applegate and Shirley Guntle. Raymond was a Real estate Investor in Monticello and Decatur area.
