Keith Dolly of Clinton

Keith Warren Dolly, 74, Clinton, died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 23, 2014) at his family residence.

His service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with the Rev. Ed Cain officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, with military honors. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Keith Dolly Memorial Fund.

He was born May 25, 1939, in DeWitt, a son of Dare and Iona Bolin Dolly. He married Sharon A. Overy on Feb. 6, 1960, in Clinton.

Survivors included his wife, Sharon A. Dolly, and children, Deborah (Brett) Obermeyer and Shelley (Mike) Willoughby, all of Clinton; four grandchildren, Nolan Willoughby, Alexis Obermeyer, Sara Willoughby and Amber Obermeyer; brother, Ken (Charlene) Dolly, Decatur; and a sister, Carol (Lester) Weigley, Seymour, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jean Carter.

He was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene, Clinton. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1964. 

Keith was a talented machinist and welder. He was owner/operator of Dolly's Machine & Welding. He was an excellent rifle marksman in the Army. He enjoyed drag racing and was in the final stages of completing his dragster.
