Cathie J. Veselack, 61, of Wapella died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2014) at her home.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington, where visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Ric Schneider will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bloomington.
She was born Jan. 11, 1953, in Bloomington, daughter of Louis E. Sr. and Lois Veselack. She married Greg A. Fritcher on March 30, 1974.
Surviving are two daughters, Melinda “Mindy” (Allen) Martin, Corinth, Miss., and Shay (Rich) Burke, Wapella; two sons, Greg A. Fritcher Jr., East St. Louis, and Eddie (Kathy) Fritcher, Grantsburg; and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Evelyn Veselack, Bloomington, and Jacqueline (Steve) Jacobson, Dewey; one brother, Pete (Pam) Veselack, Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Louis E. Veselack Jr.; and one sister, Sandra Veselack.
Cathie attended Bloomington High School. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She enjoyed traveling to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her world. Cathie was a lifelong music lover and especially fond of Willie Nelson. She will be remembered by those who knew her as a loving and caring person.
