Arthur Huff of Monticello

Arthur ‘Gordon’ Huff, 75, of Monticello, died at 9:25 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2014, at the Bement Health Care Center.

A graveside service with Military graveside rites will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Monticello Township Cemetery with Dan Koenigs officiating. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Gordon was born August 5, 1938 in Farmer City, IL the son of Arthur E. and Doris (Valentine) Huff. He married Virginia L. Eades on April 5, 1957 in Farmer City. She passed away on April 1, 2011.

Survivors include his daughter; Teale LaRosa (Eddie) of Bement, grandchildren; Hope McWilliams and Hannah Mohr, brothers; Cecil Huff of Farmer City and Tom Huff of Atlanta, GA, and a sister; Deena Wheeler of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 1 son (Scott Huff).

Gordon was retired from the U.S. Air Force and the Social Security Administration. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Gordon enjoyed watching his TV travel shows.
