Joseph Lesley DeBauche of Wapella

Joseph Lesley DeBauche, 38, Wapella, died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 5, 2014) at Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Assembly of God Church, Clinton, with the Rev. Dan Bell officiating. Burial will be at Willmore Cemetery, Birkbeck. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joseph DeBauche Memorial Fund. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is handling the arrangements.

He was born Oct. 9, 1975, in Clinton, son of Daniel E. and Sheryl Welch DeBauche. He married Nicole L. Atteberry on June 15, 2001.

Survivors include his wife, Nicole L. DeBauche, Wapella; mother and stepfather, Sheryl and Ray Maier, Wapella; father and stepmother, Danny and Jackie DeBauche, Hudson, Wis.; son, Paine Hadden DeBauche, Wapella; daughters, Cheyenne Atteberry, Bloomington, and Sierra Atteberry, Wapella; paternal grandfather, William Futerall, Red Wing, Minn.; sister, Dusty (Chris) Monberg, Wapella; brothers, John B. (Jennifer) Maier, New Bern, N.C., and Thomas J. (Sabrina) Maier, Clayton, N.C.; nephew, William D. Scott; and nieces, Ashley and Jessica Scott, all of Wapella.

He was a 1993 graduate of Wapella High School and had attended Central Bible College and World Harvest Bible College.

Joe loved basketball and coaching. He had coached for the Lightning, Blaze, Warriors and Inferno teams. He was a positive influence and loved all who he coached.
