Charles Rodney Brannock of Farmer City

Charles Rodney “Chuck” Brannock, 74, of Farmer City passed away at 7:45 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 1, 2014) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

His funeral will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, with his son, the Rev. Charles F. Brannock officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Greenleaf Cemetery, Farmer City, with military rites accorded.

Chuck was born May 19, 1939, in Urbana, a son of Harold Elmo and Katherine Elizabeth White Brannock. He married Agnes Geraldene West on Nov. 1, 1964, in Clinton.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes Geraldene Brannock, Farmer City; son, Charles F. (Richelle) Brannock, Heyworth; three grandsons, William Brannock, Mitchel Brannock and Colby Brannock, all of Heyworth; and two sisters, Elda Resler and Sandra (Jake) Johnson, both of Farmer City.

Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia Andrews.

Chuck was a retired custodian having worked at Franklin Elementary Grade school and Blue Ridge High School in Farmer City for several years. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Center in Heyworth.
