Marion Snyder of Clinton

Marion W. “Buster” Snyder, 64, of Clinton passed away at 5:12 a.m. Friday (Dec. 6, 2013) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Scott Marsh will officiate. Interment will be at Texas Township Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to DeWitt County Humane Society.

He was born Jan.31, 1949, in Clinton, to C. Dean Snyder and Hazel Crubaugh.

He is survived by his mother, Hazel Snyder, Clinton; children, Craig Snyder, Orlando, Fla., and Courtney Snyder, Clinton; grandson: Cameron Snyder, Florida; siblings, Leslie Carlock, Sullivan; Sharon Snyder, Clinton; Rosemary (Rodney) Moore, Suwanee, Ga.; Karl (Kim) Snyder, Kenney; Daniel (Cathy) Snyder, Clinton; and half sister, Sally Newman, Champaign.

He was preceded in death by his father and one infant sister.

Buster was a retiree from Revere Copper & Brass Inc., in Clinton and G & D in Decatur.

Buster was a very well respected individual by all who knew him. He had a passion for nurturing wildlife.
