Trena Joann Jones, 53, Clinton, died at 9:15 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 7, 2013) at her residence.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Bill Vandervoort will officiate. Interment will be in DeWitt Cemetery, DeWitt. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Food Pantry or a charity of donor’s choice.

She was born Feb. 22, 1960, in Clinton, daughter of Delbert L. Jones and Reva Carter.

Survivors include her mother, Reva Jones, Clinton; father, Delbert L. Jones, DeWitt; brother, Gary (Deana) Jones, Clinton; and sister, Corina Shaw, Clinton. Also surviving are two nephews, two great-nephews and one great-nephew on the way.

Trena worked at State Farm Insurance Cos. for 33 years in the word processing department. She enjoyed writing poems, crocheting, knitting and reading the Bible.

Trena was a devoted Christian though the years. She loved the Lord and served Him daily as she was confined to home during the last few years.

She was a wonderful daughter and sister who will be truly missed.
