Hal B. Craig of Argenta

Hal B. Craig, 88, of Belleville, Ill., born April 15, 1924 in Argenta, Ill., passed away October 19, 2013 at his residence.

Hal was a WW II veteran serving in the United States Army. He was employed by Illinois Power for 30 years and retired in 1984. He played basketball at University of Illinois. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Fighting Illini, Chicago Bears, and StLouis Cardinals, and cherished attending family reunions and activities with grandchildren.

He was a preceded in death by parents Harry and Lena, Querry, Craig, brothers, Harold, Don, Clayton, Max, Gil, and a sister, Lois (Smith).

Surviving are his wife of close to 65 years, Bonnie Craig, nee Dennis; two sons Steve Craig (Debbie) of Belleville, and Doug Craig (Cindy) of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren Ryan and Jeffrey Craig of Fairview Heights, Ill., Hannah and Tyler Craig of Des Moines, Iowa; brother Robert Craig of Decatur, Ill.; two great grandchildren, Kadyn and Ramzey Craig, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral: Services will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
