Carl W. Miller of Kenney

Carl W. “Bud” Miller, 74, Kenney, passed away Sunday (Oct. 20, 2013) at McKinley Court, Decatur.

A private family graveside service will be Wednesday at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney, with the Rev. Dennis Corley officiating and with military honors. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to McKinley Court, 500 W. McKinley Ave. Decatur, IL 62526. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.

Carl was born in Maroa, the son of Lee W. and Lucille Redman Miller. He married Evelyn Robb Sept. 7, 1963, in Hogensville, Ky.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Miller, Kenney; daughter, Michelle Knight; granddaughter, Sandra Knight, Logansport, Ind.; sisters, Marlyn Dudley, San Jose, Calif, and Linda (Tom) Clevenger, Mount Vernon; and brother-in-law, Ed (Connie) Robb, Buena Vista, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wanda Moye; brother-in-law, Earl Robb; and father- and mother-in-law, Clyde and Clare Robb.

Carl was a U.S. Army veteran, retired truck driver and farmer. He was a member of Teamsters Local 279, American Legion Post 1133 and VFW Post 4168. He enjoyed camping, boating, water skiing, country music and his Boston terrier dogs.
