Don B. Kitson, 94 of Monticello, IL., passed away at 10:45 A.M. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at his residence in Monticello, IL.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Bement Township Cemetery, with military graveside rites by the Albert Parker American Legion Post #620, Bement. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Roux — Hinds Funeral Home, 348 N. Piatt St., Bement. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donors choice.

Don was born on August 24, 1919 a son of Glen and Ethyl Barr Kitson. He married Alberta Born on February 20, 1940 in St. Louis, MO., and she survives of Monticello. Surviving are 3 children; Janice (Don) Lewis of Sun City West, AZ., Glen (Sue) Kitson of Champaign, IL., and Donna Harrington of San Antonio, TX. Also surviving are 8 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren and 12 Great-Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Lucille (Sis) Moore and a grandchild; Kelly Harrington.

Don was a member of the Bement Masonic Lodge #365 A.F. & A.M., the Albert Parker American Legion Post #620, and retired as a rural mail carrier. He loved spending time with his family.
