Mary L. Becker, 88, of DeLand, IL, formerly of Clinton, passed away at 9:42 PM, Monday, July 8, 2013 at Dr. John Warner Hospital in Clinton, IL. Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Trigg & Calvert Chapel, DeLand, IL with Pastor Rick Morrow officiating. Interment will follow in DeLand Cemetery, DeLand, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, July 12, 2013 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL. Memorials may be directed to the DeLand American Legion or to Manor Court, Clinton, IL

Mary was born September 29, 1924 in Clinton, IL, the daughter of George “Jack” and Nora (Conroy) Duvall. She married Lyle G. Becker on October 29, 1954 in Monticello, IL. He passed away January 14, 2004.

She is survived by her daughter, Candy Hoke of Clinton, IL; sons, Terry (Vicki) Morrow of Camdenton, MO and Tim (Terri) Morrow of Ypsilanti, MI; step-sons, Kenneth (Sharon) Becker of Deland, IL and David (Dale) Becker of Farmer City, IL; brothers Joe Duvall of Clinton, IL and Mike (Paula) Duvall of River Falls, WI; sister, Theresa Allen of Clinton, IL as well as many Nieces and Nephews. Also surviving are Six Grandchildren and Sixteen Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents; one son, Tony Becker; one step-daughter, Kathy Becker; two Sisters and two Brothers.

Mary was Secretary-Bookkeeper for many years for Becker Trucking – the business her husband and she owned and operated. She was a member of the DeLand American Legion and The Clinton Women’s Eagle Auxiliary. She loved the Cubs, the Illini, and was a Bears fan.
