Greg A Fritcher Sr. of Wapella

Greg A. Fritcher Sr., 57, Wapella, died at 2:59 p.m. Monday (April 22, 2013) at his home.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington, where visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington. Memorials may be made to Westminster Village, Bloomington.

He was born March 25, 1956, in Effingham, son of Marilyn Fritcher and Harold Smith. He first married Cathie Veselack, then married Shelly Miller and lastly married Bonnie Elliott Lind.

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Fritcher, Atlanta; his partner, Heather Mulder, Wapella; his mother, Marilyn Smith, Normal; two daughters, Melinda “Mindy” (Allen) Martin, Corinth, Miss., and Shay (Rich) Burke, Wapella; two sons, Greg Fritcher Jr., East St. Louis, and Eddie (Kathy) Fritcher, New Burnside; 17 grandchildren; five stepchildren, Jeff (Jaime) Flack, Atlanta; Jason (Nichole) Flack, Panama City, Fla.; Suzi (Ryan) Hayes, Berrien Springs, Mich.; Matthew Lind, Utah; and Danny Lind, Normal; three sisters, Diane (Dale) Snyder, Beaver Dam, Ky.; Debbie (JR) Quinn, Bloomington; and Jodi Smith, Normal; and one brother, Jeff Roberts, Dwight. 

Greg first worked for more than 10 years with Johnson Transfer, Bloomington. He later was a self-employed carpenter for more than 20 years and for the past six years worked in maintenance at Westminster Village, Bloomington. 

He was a very talented billiards player for most of his life and was an enthusiastic NASCAR racing fan. Greg was also an avid bowler and was in many bowling leagues.
