Wilma Lucille Drobisch died on March 24, 2013, in Frisco, Texas, where she has lived since 2011. Lucille was born on December 21, 1918, the daughter of Walter & Nancy Wright Heinle. She was a graduate of Argenta & Decatur public schools. Lucille received her degree of registered nursing at St. Johns School in Springfield, IL.
She married Edward C. Drobisch on August 24, 1940. She is a past president of the former Mound School PTA and life member of Illinois Congress of PTA; past president of Lamda Tau Delta sorority, PEO Chapter IF, Decatur, IL; past member of Junior Welfare Associate, and former board member of TB Association. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Decatur.
Surviving are her son David and his wife Sue of Decatur; daughter Nancy Ruegge and husband Ron of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren Douglas Drobisch and wife Alice of Maryville, IL; Tim Drobisch of Decatur; Heather Ruegge Chen and husband Kaiyan of Frisco, Texas; and grandson Marcus Ruegge of Frisco. She is also survived by great grandchildren: Lauren, Hannah & Kate Chen and Nathan Drobisch.
Lucille & Ed enjoyed hiking during their winter months in Arizona. She enjoyed genealogy, history and had a great love of gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ed.
The family thanks all the caregivers who gave her such great care at Prairie Estates in Frisco. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Burial in Friends Creek Cemetery in Argenta. Lucille was a caring mother and friend and will be missed.
