Frances Lamar of Clinton

Frances K. Lamar, 90, Clinton, died at 5 p.m. Friday (April 12, 2013) at Manor Court, Clinton.

A private service will be Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, with Deacon Scott Tamburini officiating. There will be no visitation. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Lupus Foundation of America or American Heart Association.

Frances was born June 1, 1922, in Momence, the daughter of Francis and Agnes O’Dea Payne. She married Irvin Lamar on Nov. 21, 1940, in St. Louis, Mo. He died Aug. 31, 1977.

She is survived by her three children, Mary Young, Elliott; Bernadine Yates, Wapella; and Frank (Peggy) Lamar, Wapella; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Frances lived on the family farm and was a commissioner of Prairie Center Drainage District. She retired from Dr. John Warner Hospital, working in housekeeping. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clinton.
