Leland B. Kingsboro, 97, of Monticello, formerly of Deland, passed away at 4:12 p.m., March 13, 2013 at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello.

Leland was born on April 27, 1915 in Deland, IL, the son of Newton B. and Fern B. (Borton) Kingsboro. He married Yvonne M. “Bonnie” Valentine on January 27, 1937 in Covington, IN. She passed away February 22, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers (Merwyn, Karl, and Gail) and 1 sister (Esther).

Leland was a retired farmer. For many years Leland enjoyed keeping in touch with his friends through his CB radio connections. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.

A visitation for Bonnie and Leland will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday March 17, 2013 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
