Mildred Edgecombe Baldwin of Warrensburg

Mildred Edgecombe Baldwin, 90, of Warrensburg, passed away at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Hickory Point Christian Village.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March II, 2012 with visitation one hour prior to service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Decatur, IL. Pastor Wray Offermann will officiate.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 10th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Warrensburg/Latham Education Foundation.

Mildred Eileen Bollhorst, a life-long resident of Macon County, IL was born on October 22, 1922 to John and Edna Bollhorst. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Decatur.

She married Samuel Edgecombe on September 16, 1945 in Decatur, IL who preceded her in death in April 1983. She married Howard Baldwin on March 31, 1990 in Decatur. He preceded her in death in December 2000.

Millie was an L.P.N. for Dr. Sam Holtzman in Warrensburg. She volunteered for the American Red Cross at many local blood drives and also volunteered at Lincoln Manor. She was a member of the Harmony Home Extension Unit of Macon County and served as a 4-H Leader for several years.

She is survived by her children: John (Ann) Edgecombe of Jacksonville, FL, Roger (Karen) Edgecombe of Maroa, and, Diane (Robert) Daggett of Maroa; six grandchildren: Jason (Kathryn) Edgecombe of Atlanta, GA, Adam (Laura) Edgecombe of Jacksonville, FL, Katherine (Clay) Sellmeyer of Maroa, Amy Edgecombe of Decatur, Lindsey (Curtis) Wise of Decatur, Elizabeth (Matt) Goldman of Maroa; nine greatgrandchildren: Jay, Mills and Madelyn Edgecombe of Atlanta, Holden Edgecombe of Jacksonville, Benjamin, Jack and Luke Sellmeyer of Maroa, and Cooper and Levi Wise of Decatur. She leaves her brothers: Paul (Shirley) Bollhorst of Moweaqua, Earl (Wanda) Bollhost of Decatur, Jim (Ruth, deceased) Bollhorst of Clinton, and Kenny, deceased, (Betty) Bollhorst of Decatur and sister-in-law Lillian Edgecombe of Argenta along with many nieces and nephews.

Millie enjoyed time with her family, sewing, gardening, baking and traveling with friends and family.
