Minnie Lea Stiverson, age 86 of Monticello, passed away at 9:32 A.M. Saturday, March 10, 2013 at Kirby Medical Center in Monticello, Illinois. Funeral service will be March 13, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello with Rev. Jim Dalrymple officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7 Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Monticello Township Cemetery. Mackey- Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Minnie was born August 20, 1926 in Wayne City, Illinois the daughter of William and Julia (Cameron) Helm. She married Richard Stiverson September 2, 1944 in Junction City, Kansas. Surviving is her 2 daughters Paula Sue Ainsworth of Los Angeles, California; Julia Ferguson of Covington, Kentucky; and son Ron Stiverson, of Urbana, Illinois 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Minnie was preceded by her parents, husband and 5 brothers. Minnie was the owner of Mini’s Card Shop for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Monticello and was a member of the Piatt County Home Extension. Minnie loved spending time with her family friends.
