Marie Hudson, 92, Afton, Iowa, mother of a Wapella woman, died Friday (April 5, 2013) at Afton Care Center.

Funeral: Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edwards Catholic Church, Afton, with the Rev. Ken Halbur officiating. Memorial gifts are to be established.

Burial: St. Edwards Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. today at Powers Funeral Home, Afton, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. and a 6 p.m. Christian wake service.

Survivors: three sons, Mark (Donna) Hudson and Clark Hudson, both of Afton; and Brian (Janet) Hudson, Orient, Iowa; two daughters, Rosemarie (Robert) Harrold, Wapella, and Kathryn “Kitty” (Russell) Cowling, Orient; one brother, Robert (Marilyn) Fluckey, Murray, Iowa; two sisters, Evelyn Mathes, Afton, and Helen (Darrell) Kingery, Creston, Iowa; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
