Lois Evelyn Beck, 89, of Monticello, passed away at 5:54 a.m., April 1, 2013 at Carle Hospital, Urbana.

Lois was born on February 7, 1924 in Lawrence County, IL, the daughter of Lee D. and Mary Evelyn (Bell) Webber. She married Ralph E. Beck on December 30, 1951 in Olney, IL.

Survivors include her husband; Ralph Beck of Monticello and son; Don (Marian) Beck of Springfield, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers (Robert and John Webber), sister (Viola Tracy), and an infant sister (Hazel Lucille Webber).

Lois worked at Kaiser Department Store in Monticello was a housewife. She was a charter member of Crist Lutheran Church of Monticello and a Den Mother for Boys Scouts of America in Olney.

A funeral service will at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Christ Lutheran Church of Monticello with Pastor Micah Garnett officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2013 at the church. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney, IL. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the services.
