Leslie Cisco of Clinton

Leslie A. Cisco, 91, Clinton, passed away at 6:05 p.m. Saturday (July 6, 2013) at Manor Court, Clinton.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, with military honors. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Leslie was born Oct. 9, 1921, in Wapella, the son of Lowell and Viola Fenner Cisco. He married JoAnne Bailey on Aug. 21, 1949. She passed away July 23, 1987.

Surviving are his children, Leslie S. Cisco, Morris; Lee A. Cisco, Fort Worth, Texas; and David B. (Jennifer) Cisco, Clinton; five grandchildren, Travis, Cameron, Rachel, Hannah and Josie; and one brother, Haldean Cisco, Galesburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Francis.

Leslie was a World War II and Korean conflict veteran, serving in the Air Force. He worked for 30 years for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad before retiring in 1983. He enjoyed working on the farm for Richard Reynolds and Scottie May.
