John F. “Jack” Barrick, 68, Lincoln, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 2, 2012). Jack’s funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Lincoln, with the Rev. Simon Taabu officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lincoln, with full military rites accorded by Lincoln American Legion Post 263. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, with a prayer service at 3 p.m. and a VFW ritual memorial service at 3:30 p.m. prior to visitation Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Midwest Affiliate or to Logan County Animal Rescue.
