Sara E. Easton, 76, of Clinton died 9:07 a.m. Sunday (June 17, 2012) in Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal. There will be no services. The body was cremated. Sara was born June 26, 1935, in Mattoon, the daughter of Roscoe and Nellie Tatman Sparling. She was owner and operator of Sara's Gift Shop in Clinton for 15 years. She married Robert E. Easton on Nov 13, 1953, in Toledo. Surviving are her husband; children, Michael (Debi) Easton, Kim (Rob) Easton-Gragg and Tammy (Ron) Shouse, all of Clinton; Mark and Pearl Humphreys, who they loved as children; brother, Ivan Sparling of Decatur; sister, Opal (Sid) Manning of Shelbyville; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived her life by example and gave meaning to unselfish love, wisdom, courage and character. She affected us all and will forever live in our hearts.
