Louise Lape Archey of Clinton

Louise Lape Archey, 99, of Clinton died 2:44 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 15, 2013) in Manor Court.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday in Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until services. Louise was born Sept. 2, 1913, in Shelbyville, the daughter of John H. and Leota M. Fisher Lape. During her many years, she worked in the Maroa school cafeteria, Clinton High School office, Wallace Press, Fitzgerald Jewelry, Loves Clothing Store and Dis n Dat. She loved being with family and values her many friends of all ages. Over the years, she enjoyed collecting antiques. She married Gloyd E. Archey on April 1, 1938. He passed away Jan. 16, 1968.

Surviving are son, Gary G. (Sandy) Archey of Clinton; stepdaughters, Helen Ann (Max) Williams and Doris (Dean) Rothrock, both of Shelbyville; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Jan Kay Bell; son-in-law, Charles D. Bell; two brothers; and one grandson.
