Doris L. Mullinax, 89, of Heyworth died at 10:59 a.m. Saturday (July 4, 2015) at Manor Court, Clinton.

At Doris’ request, a graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Heyworth Cemetery, Heyworth. The Rev. Richard Gray will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Full Gospel Tabernacle, Heyworth.

She was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Heyworth to Edward C. and Maymie Baird Geske. She married Billy L. Mullinax Nov. 3, 1965, in Lincoln. He died Nov. 12, 1981.

Survivors include one son, Julius “Pete” Snow, Heyworth; one daughter, Doris “Julene” (Mike) Mearida, Clearwater, Fla.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorlene Fannin, Wapella; and Phyllis (Junior) Grant, Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one sister and one son-in-law.

Doris was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle, Heyworth, and the Carl E. Miller American Legion Auxiliary Unit 624.

To all my friends, remember me, alive, well, and with laughter. I don’t want you to remember me in my last 30 days, and that’s why I want no visitation.
