Allen Dale Monts, 92, of Maroa died 12:44 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 1, 2011) in OSF St. Mary's Hospital, Galesburg. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, with the Rev. Mark Schleeter officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Maroa Cemetery, with military rites. Memorials: Galesburg to Peoria St. Jude Run. He farmed most of his life. He married Normaline L. Marsh Myers on Aug. 12, 1951. She preceded him in death June 28, 2011. Surviving are his son, Roger (Barbara) Myers of Galesburg; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Carl Lynn Myers; one sister; and one brother.
