Eileen Short of Clinton

Eileen Short, 103, of Bloomington, formerly of Clinton, died 5:07 a.m. Tuesday (July 23, 2013) in Martin Health Care Center, Bloomington.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Ed Bacon officiating. Steve Short, Brian Dash, Brad Dash, Zach Dash, Robert Klemm and Marvin Murphy will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be one hour before services. Eileen was born May 26, 1910, in Waynesville, the daughter of Joseph and Laura Parker Cunningham. She was a member of Wapella Christian Church. She enjoyed making quilts and sewing for many years. She married Owen Short on Jan. 17, 1931, in Lafayette, Ind. He preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1985.

Surviving are her daughter, Doris Dash of Normal; daughter-in-law, Joey Short of Clinton; grandchildren, Mike Short and Steve (Linda) Short, both of Clinton; Phil Short of Scottsdale, Ariz.; Brian (Tammi) Dash of Weldon; Brad (Vanessa) Dash of Geneva; great-grandsons, Zach Dash; Drake Dash; Troy Dash and Trevor Blue.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert Short; son-in-law, Thomas Dash; three brothers and three sisters.
