Wilma Jean Jostes of Macon

Wilma Jean Jostes, 82, of Macon, passed away Friday (Nov. 4, 2011) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery. Memorials: Macon Pentecostal Church or DMH Hospice. Wilma was born Aug. 25, 1929, in Moweaqua Hospital, the daughter of John L. and Eunice Woolfe Williams. She was a lifelong resident of Macon, graduating from Macon High School in 1947. She met the love of her life, Lyle "Sheep" Jostes, in Macon. They were married in Henderson, Ky., in February 1949. They enjoyed 50 years of marriage. He preceded her in death in 1999. Surviving are her son, Michael Jostes of Macon; sister, Carole Arleigh Thomas of Decatur; granddaughter, Courtney of Clinton; many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces; and her beloved and faithful dog, Baxter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; nephew, Jeff Reed Jostes; and special friends, Frank and Josephine Pokorney. The family would like to thank DMH Hospice, Jim and the nurses on 5100 for the care, kindness and compassion they showed our mother, sister and aunt.
