Marsha L. Gelsthorpe, 76, Waynesville, died at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday (April 9, 2013) at her home.

Her funeral will be at   noon Thursday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with David Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Waynesville. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to United Cerebral Palsy.

She was born Jan. 12, 1927, in Appleton, Mo., a daughter of Delbert Wright and Helen Ferguson. She married James E. Gelsthorpe on Dec. 16, 1961, in Clinton.

She is survived by her husband, Jim E. Gelsthorpe, Waynesville; children, Rita Byrd, Russellville, Ky., and Randall Gelsthorpe and Rick Gelsthorpe, both of Waynesville; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Marsha was a beautician for 40 years and sold Avon for 30 years. She enjoyed fishing, loved to decorate and was a member of Waynesville American Legion Auxiliary.
