Cecil Leon Radley of Clinton

Cecil Leon Radley, 81, Clinton, died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday (July 24, 2013) at Manor Court, Clinton.

His graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, with military honors. J. Kent Hickerson will officiate. There will be no visitation. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Cecil Radley Memorial Fund.

He was born June 5, 1932, in DeWitt, son of Raymond Radley and Carol Baker.

He married Carol J. Lighthall on Sept. 26, 1958, in Clinton.

Survivors include his wife, Carol J. Radley; daughter, Kim (Scott) Cooper; and son, Kevin Radley, all of Clinton; two granddaughters, Kristin (Jesse) Goode and Kyla Yeagle; one grandson, Andrew Fleming; two great-grandchildren, Kai Evin Goode and Jazlyn Rose Goode; one stepbrother, Dennis Davenport, and one stepsister, Phyllis Coon, both of Clinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Revere Copper & Brass Inc. and retired from The Eureka Co. in Bloomington. Following retirement, he did farm work and babysat his grandchildren. He loved collecting antiques and family history. He enjoyed watching the Illini and the Cubs. He was a loving father and grandfather, a friendly outgoing soul who enjoyed helping others.

He was truly loved and will be greatly missed.
