Jerry Whalen, 81 of Bement, IL., passed away at 8:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at his residence. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Roux–Hinds Funeral Home, 348 N. Piatt St., Bement, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ivesdale, IL. The Rev. Father John Cyr will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Ivesdale. Military graveside rites will be given by the Albert Parker American Legion Post #620, Bement. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, for masses, and to the Carle Hospice Program.
