Mildred Patricia "Midge" Pollock Reid, 91, of Clinton died 4:20 a.m. Sunday (May 6, 2012) in Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Casual attire is requested. Visitation will be one hour before services. Midge was born Nov. 1, 1920, in Clinton, the daughter of Edward A. and Fern Campbell Pollock. She was a member of Presbyterian Church, Clinton, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a nurse at Dr. John Warner Hospital and earlier was Shack manager. She married Robert Reid Jr. in 1942. Surviving are her daughters, Linda Marie Barnhill of Bloomington; Carol Ann Hammer of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren, Bob Barnhill of Bloomington; Jodi Barnhill and husband, Ted Hermann of Champaign; Cari (Jeff) Hampton of Westminster, Colo.; great-grandchildren, Sean, Nick, Jessica, Emily, Freja, Wesley; great-great-grandchild, Anthony; many nieces and nephews including Ron (Lee Ann) Pollock, who helped take care of Midge. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marie Massey and Dorothy Gasser; brothers, Edward Pollock and Walt Pollock.
