Ronald G. Timmons, 67, of Warrensburg, IL passed away on Tuesday (April 10, 2012) at Decatur Memorial Hospital. A service to celebrate Ron's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday (April 13, 2012) at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Timmons was born on June 28, 1944 in Decatur, IL, the son of George T. and Effie H. (Getz) Timmons. Ron was a graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology and the owner of Progressive Electronics in Warrensburg. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam. Ron was a St. Louis Cardinal fan and an avid gardener. Surviving is his fiancé: Deborah L. McAtee of Warrensburg, IL; sister: Janet Mazzier and her husband Bob of Decatur, IL; beloved pets: Hannah, Herbie and Maggie. He was preceded in death by his parents.
