Gary W. “Yogi” Scott, 66, Clinton, died at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday (March 7, 2012) at his family residence, Clinton.

A graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, with the Rev. Tim Clagg officiating. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Farmer City Church of God.

He was born Jan. 30, 1946, in Clinton, son of Loren and Grace Riddle Scott. He married Kathy Richards on Aug. 6, 1994.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Scott, Clinton; sister, Judy Scott (Dick) Webb; nephew, Scott (Christy) Webb; and great-nephews, Chris, Jordan, Isaac and Jack Webb.

He worked at Illinois Power for 24 years before he retired. He was a member of the Masonic lodge for 30 years and was a member of Eagle Lodge 593.

He loved all of his friends and coffee buddies. He never met a stranger. He was a great husband and best friend.
