Anora Jean Huisinga, 84, of Farmer City, IL passed away at 11:18 PM, Monday, August 5, 2013 at Piatt County Nursing Home in Monticello, IL. Services will be at 12:00 PM (Noon), Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Trigg & Calvert Chapel, DeLand, IL with Pastor Phil Hansen officiating. Interment will follow in DeLand Cemetery, DeLand, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 12:00 PM (Noon) Saturday at Trigg & Calvert Chapel, DeLand, IL. Memorials may be directed to the DeLand Christian Church or to Carle Cancer Center. Mrs. Husinga was born on June 24, 1929 in Piatt County, IL, the daughter of Eike and Esther (Ferry) Lubbers. She married Joe R. Huisinga on June 29, 1947 in Piatt County, IL. He passed away February 9, 2009. Surviving are her children, Dan (Marjorie) Huisinga of Florida, Larry (Melody) Huisinga of Florida, Darrel (Peggy) Huisinga of Missouri, Gail (Michael) Rudisill of Illinois, and Diane (Richard) Baker of Illinois; ten Grandchildren, Clint Huisinga, Barbie Rieben, Bryan Huisinga, Trevor Huisinga, Andrea Huisinga, Rich (Denise) Huisinga, Cassidy Hoke, Kathryn Becker, Amanda Baker, and Rachel Baker; seven Great-grandchildren, Drew Rieben, Haylie Huisinga, Colby Huisinga, Jocelyn Hoke, Joseph Hoke, Steven Dano and Jayda Van Dyke; four Step-grandchildren, Neal Reibel, Robin Reibel, Zachary Rudisill and Zoe Rudisill; one Sister, Joan (Blake) Robinson of Colorado. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother: Richard and a grandson. She was a member of the DeLand Christian Church. She was active in her church, HCE and was a member of the Kirby Hospital Auxiliary. She loved her family dearly and will see them again some day.
