Agnes Roethe, 95, Heyworth, passed away at 8:55 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 19, 2012) at Bloomington Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth, with the Rev. Richard Gray officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior starting at 1 p.m. today. Burial will be in Heyworth Cemetery, Heyworth. Memorials may be made to the McLean County Humane Society.

Agnes was born March 16, 1916, at Tamaroa, a daughter of Joseph and Eva Miller Goldman. She married George H. Roethe on Aug. 6, 1935, in Pinckneyville. He passed away June 16, 1978.

She is survived by three daughters, Nancy (Howard) Simpkins, Heyworth; Georgia Henshaw, Carbondale; and Barbara Tracy (James) Kullman, Liverpool; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marie Giacomo, Pinckneyville.
