Ruth E. Parsons, 88, of Monticello, passed away at 7:45 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at the Piatt County Nursing Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Heiniger officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in the Monticello Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home or an organization of the Donor's Choice.
