Halene Brennan, 90, of Argenta died 2:30 p.m. Sunday (July 15, 2012) in Lewis Memorial Christian Village, Springfield.

Halene was born June 7, 1922, in Clinton, the daughter of Charles Sumner and Inez Clodfelter Long. She was an Argenta High School cook for more than 30 years. She belonged to Maroa Christian Church and many community groups.

Surviving are her daughters, Kathleen (Larry) Travis of Springfield; Carolyn (Jerry) Brink of Fresno, Calif.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
