Ronald E. Ipsen of Clinton

Ronald Edward Ipsen, 74, Clinton, died at 8:33 a.m. Monday (June 18, 2012) at Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church, Clinton. The Rev. Joel        Dietrich will officiate.

Interment will be at Atlanta Cemetery, Atlanta. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton.

Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church Preschool or Clinton Kiwanis Club.

He was born Jan. 15, 1938, in Cook County, son of Elmer Ipsen and Esther Holmes. He married Bonnie J. Britsch on June 2, 1962, in Lincoln. She passed away March 11, 2008.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen L. Duran (Ed), Normal; one son, Bill E. Ipsen (Priya), Champaign; and two grandchildren, Anthony S. Duran and Grant E. Ipsen.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Clinton.

Ronald was a retired instructor for GTE, a member of the Clinton Kiwanis Club and the Illinois Valley Blacksmith Association. He was also a board member of the DeWitt County Museum.
