Delores “Dee” was born October 13, 1928 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Freeman S. and Florence L. Kaufman White. She was united in marriage to Robert L. Ferrill on April 15, 1948 in Argenta. Having lived all her life in the Argenta-Oreana area, Dee was a lifelong member of the Argenta United Methodist Church where she played both the organ and piano for church services. She also played for many funeral services for the former Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Argenta. Dee was an active member of the United Methodist Women, Prairie Homemakers, and Eastern Star.

Much like her mother, Dee was an excellent cook and most known for her delicious vegetable soup which she readily shared with shut-ins and others. We were a lucky family to share so many wonderful meals at her home and she especially loved entertaining during the holidays. Dee and Bob also enjoyed many years of camping and several trips to Florida. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and she loved being a part of their lives.

Dee is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bob; son Mike and wife Sue of Oreana; granddaughter Lindsey Hans and husband Sam of Mahomet; grandson Brent Ferrill and friend Haley Wade of Oreana; and great-grandson Michael Allan Hans. She is also survived by a brother D. F. “Woody” White and wife Kathy of Argenta; and niece, Jennifer White. Dee was preceded in death by her parents.
